yes sir hahahahah I used blood-wood for the body with a Birdseye maple neck and a quilted maple fretboard. my pickups where a set of Seymour Duncan SB3 Quarter Pounders. I also made it a low profile body (aka really thin) and put fiber optic cables for the dots. It was a commission piece I wish I'd taken pictures before I sent it out. totally spaced it.

it ran me $400 for materials. the main difference in mine and this render was that mine was neck through (makes for darker tone and longer sustain) so it had a birdseye strip through the center where yours is all red

I make them on a regular basis. I make custom instruments. mostly guitars but from time to time I make basses and the occasional violin, ukulele, and mandolin. I sold that one bass for 900. But have had some run as high as $2600 all depends on what kind of specifics people want.

depends what you want. as in what kind of instrument. whether you want exotic woods or not. neck through or bolt on, fancy pickups or regular, give me a few specs.
what instrument?
what scale?
what wood or does it matter?
what pickups or does it matter?

Bass guitar. Same as my work here. Uhm.. 21 frets? mahogany for the body and maple top? Maple neck and fretboard. 3 band EQ, with bypass switch and Pick ups would be Duncans! haha

OK your looking in the area of around 1,300 for a neck through or 1000 for a bolt on. which kind of maple you thinking? I think this would look gorgeous spalted

sorry bout that
Not sure what the exchange rate is. Unfortunately one of a kind instruments do get rather expensive. that's why I tell all my customers if you are going to design a one of a kind instrument then put everything you want into it. the price will go up but you will actually get what you WANT as apposed to what you'll settle for.
if you decide you are interested go ahead and shoot me a note with dementions and specifics as to pickups, tuners, bridge type and neck through or bolt on.
was good talking to you and you have serious talent man
