Here's what happens when I don't leave the house all weekend. I've been playing bass for about 10 years but my real passion is for the instrument's construction rather than its sound. This bass is a scale model of a Carvin LB70. I spent a Friday and Saturday modeling the thing in Lightwave 3D. Then Sunday I surfaced it, set up a lighting rig, and rendered the image. Money earned for this project: $0.00. Personal satisfaction: Priceless.I actually own this bass but in a different finish. I should make a revision... :/

I love the pickup arrangement. I'm hoping to make a custom Jazz bass with a humbucker at bridge position. This is a awesome rendering, great stuff.
