Description Crab Spiders are very skilled ambush predators. They typically take on the color most common to the area in which they hunt. They wait patiently atop a flower for their prey to come feed, then grab the prey with their long front legs and bite.

This guy appears to be slightly out of his element on a red thistle but there was a large patch of mayweeds nearby; I assume those are his usual stomping grounds.
