Description Capcom's Ken, and Mel Masters from Street Fighter.

Made in Photoshop 7 using assorted brushes.
The original picture is way bigger than this.
1600 pixels wide.

I always wanted to use that blade of grass in front of the camera out of focus thing but never had a subject to use it for.

Another thing I wanted to do was make a picture of Mel.
I have a couple of father and son/ Masters fam sketches that I never finished but I think this the best so far.

Drawn for Penciljack.com's proving ground challenge.

Looks great to me! Ken's costuming is really nicely applied with all that linework adding the appropriate fabric folds, and the two figures are nicely defined. It's a great composition, I think.

I'm still not sure if I want to smooth out Kens coloring.
I like the rough look for the older charcters., and a softer look for the younger one.
Thank you for the comment!

kens arms ( triceps especially ) look a bit too sketchy it really contrasts a bit too much from all the other lines especially mel with his very neat lines. come to think of it his triceps are missing a center muscle.could you adjust that? I think it would greatly add to the awesomeness of this picture.otherwise itz perfection.

Thank you for the comments. I am glad you like the picture.
Are you sure the center muscle would show?
With his fist top side up it would twist his arm around.
That's why I show his elbow towards the viewer.
If it was the side of his arm I would show.

I may be thinking of the wrong muscle. I'll have to check out my anatomy book.
Thanks for the heads up though.

yeah itz the line from between the two large muscle leading to the elbow you drew you just put the elbow right under the muscles
