Sculptris? Not heard of that one. I'll see if I can find time to have a look.
Have you heard of Google's Sketchup? It's a 3D program they make. Heard good stuff about it recently.

I've used Sketchup, but it works differently from normal 3d packages - I've struggled to get to grips with it. It's pretty good if you want to work out perspective, architecture and basic shadow casting. Sculptris is definitely worth trying.
