Jim Gordon as Batman. Not like it's implausible, but it's just a holdover for when Bruce returns from the dead...again. And Joker will probably return again.

Imagine this: after Bruce Wayne Returns as Batman, he looks up to see the Bat signal in the sky, he goes to find Gordon waiting for him as usual, Gordon explain that the Riddler escape and they need and Bruce is like: dude??! You were Batman? Why the hell do you ask me for help??! Go get him yourself, jeez..
