Description This female Cardinal had been hanging around all day. The male would only come out in the wee morning hours and then let the female do the rest of the work for the day. In between foraging she works out some kinks in her neck. Kettleby Ontario Canada.

nice way has her neck - she must have seen or heard you. you only get a few cardinals up there in Canada?? We have a lot of cardinals in the south.

That is right. We don't get that many as a whole in the country, but the area we live in is highly populated. Not as much as the Blue Jays ... we have billions of them.
