Hey! This is a great piece! I'll do my best to give some meaningful critique.
I think technique is perfect. The skillful blend of tone and colour, along with the strong silhouette and the lovely textures definitely show your skill in all its glory. So five stars on that one! (Though it would be nice to see it in a higher resolution.)
The face is particularly quirky - the expression (the almost knowing, scathing smile) and the twisted, intricate features are really interesting and give the image a great impact. The armour design is suitably minimal for the gladiator image.
Moving on to the main critiques. For a gladiator, he looks remarkably well polished (as much as a goblin can be polished). Have you considered giving him more battlescars or abnormalities? The colour choices work well, but could you have explored more colour choices? Goblins are normally portrayed with green skin, it might have been interesting to see some variation on this.
The build of the character is interesting, and breaks some of the traditional goblin stereotypes, while keeping the pointed ears and sharper features giving it a goblin appearance. However the torso is slightly confusing - it seems overly long and cylindrical, the bands of muscle almost seeming fat like, which conflicts with the heavily muscled shoulders and chest. Although obviously it would be inappropriate to give him a fully formed chest, the small pecs and largely indefined torso don't work so well (especially as the belt automatically draws the eye to this area.
Overall however, a skillfully executed piece with a nice quirk!
I hope my critique was helpful to you!

This was my first critique - I'm glad it helped you. I'm impressed you can produce designs of this quality in such a short space of time! Best of luck with EA - you certainly deserve the attention.

I think your rendering is really exceptional but then again it always is, don't know how specific the work description was but my only critique would be that he's not very memorable or unique, mainly in part due to the generic costume design. But if he was just supposed to be like a standard gladiator grunt then I'd say you nailed it.

Did they give you a time limit for the test? Good work man. Good luck.

I'm really liking the tiny smirk on his face. It gives him that extra "oomph" of character.
I'm thinking that the pecs are maybe a bit too skinny, or maybe his torso is just really long, but it's a nice piece.
