I painted this last year roughly a week before Christmas. This was somewhat of a recovery art for me after staying in the ICU in hospital with meningitis ;( It was nice loosely painting something compared my tight-detailed artworks for once.

Absolutely stunning work, as always! I like how it's structured and detailed on top then gradually gets more abstract as you draw your eye downward. The colors in this also compliment each other so well! I have a sentimental attachment to phoenixes and this one is just lovely
