Description
One of the three illustrations I submitted for my group, 's first artbook, Various Perfects.This is to depict Abraxas, also known as "the red star in the crescent moon". Before its destruction, it was a peaceful yellow city on a piece of land floating in the centre of a crescent moon.
The Nrai are the first humans who landed on Abraxas in order to extract its magical powers to save their homeland, which was deteriorating due to a meteor strike.
This girl is Chlyra Airis Nrai, who is an ancestor of Yuelia and Noire, the main characters from my original story - Throne of Abraxas. She is the priestess who possesses the power to extract and contain magical powers from Abraxas.
You can read my Throne of Abraxas series ([link] ) in my gallery to find out more about the main story. This illustration is just to depict a spin-off from it. (which will be titled "The Red Star")
Anyways, I pretty much rushed this for deadline. Some parts weren't refined as planned.

In photoshop, there's a tool in wich you can make your pictures even better, it's called photo warmer. You can select a color in it and give your colors a Slightly little tint. It's often used in Horror pictures (blue) And in fantasy pictures(green or brown) You should try it out because it can create a very nice atmosphere in your picture!
There's a book called "horror and occulte" from Christopher Heart, he explains something about color use too. You should try it! I think your artwork can become even better!
