The 20th century was the bloodiest century in all of human history, for an endless instant it seemed that the principles of Liberty and Democracy were going to be consigned to the dustbin of history. After the defeat of the Entente in World War II, the totalitarianism that was defeated in North America and Continental Europe found new homes, in both Africa and Asia but the regimes of South Africa and Japan were finally overthrown in the 1980s and 1990s.

The 21st century began charged with the illusions of a world tired of wars but with hopes of a better future, the Amerorussian-European Detente finally consolidated after its start in the Great Asian War with the creation of the United Nations in 2001 and the fall of the Britain's regime in 2009 boded well.

The second decade of the millennium nonetheless began with the disintegration of the First Afrikabund and the formation of the Indian Ocean Treaty Organization giving India, nationalistic but far from the 1980s, finally reliable allies.

It is a world united but at the same time divided, the Global North and the Global South continue to face each other, but now in the corridors of Geneva and not the battlefields of yesteryear.

China continues its unstoppable rise, since the defeat of Japan and the Reunification the Chinese effort to become THE superpower is bearing fruit and the economy of the East Asian Dragon economy has just overtaken Germany for the first time since the Qing era.

On February 24, 2022, from the von Braun Space Center in the Congo, the international Ares I mission sets course for Mars, for the first time the human race is heading to another planet.

Perhaps in a future that does not seem so far away, everyone will be like Gagarin and everyone will be like Lützov.
