Adaina isn't what one would call a girly girl. She's got a lot of her Uncle Edward's spunk. She isn't found of the term tomboy either. I find it a little odd that she made friends with Trippy so fast, but I guess that's her scientific mindset kicking in: "I must study this fascinating creature, it's bizarre, even by my Aquarius standards!" I know Trippy can feel a little bogged down by Adaina's scientific explanations or logical processes, but they kinda act as counter balances to one another, so I guess that's just how it works.
