yeah! what he said! that's prolly what's gonna happen in the next game. the elites will join full force with the humans and together they take out the remainder of the covenant, afterwards the eletes will prolly govern the covenant in a more peaceful manner. hmm...but then there's the flood. ^_^

Pretty sweet gallery, man. And, you're absolutely right! The Elites have already realized by this point that humans aren't demons/creatures of evil/an afront to the gods and have become, well, friends with a love/hate relationship (sure to even out and stabilize soon enough). The Hunters aren't the biggest thinkers and trust the Elites' judgement and the Grunts do too, but for one reason: they're weak and scared and ever so cute. ow, the Jackals are still fanatically loyal to the Prophets and the Drones are... Drones, what can you expect? With a bit of reason and some macho show of force, the Jackals should be won over quite easily. They're a rational people, they'd be swayed with reason. The Drones are pretty mindless, though, and probably won't budge until their masters are gone and they're off looking for employment ads. The Engineers, if you've heard of them, work for anyone with broken stuff needing repair, so that won't be a problem. The Phrophets... the lower-ranking ones may move in time, but the top ones like Truth are pure evil and need to be shot. And the Flood, the Flood made a pact with the humans or something and won't kill... for now. There's also a large number of people who, through collecting evidence from Halo 1 and 2 dialogue, have a pretty good hunch that one of the species shown thus far in the series are actually descendants of the Forerunners. Time will only tell.

wow man, you're really up on your halo facts man. Yeah, the drones will prolly remain loyal doin what they do best, bein drones. (god those are so friggin annoying in the legendary campaign) I loved getting to fite alongside the huge hunters. those guys are awesome and make pancakes out of brutes.

^_^ likewise mait. I'm disappointed that we never did get to learn why the covenant picked that particular spot to land on earth...or why thay came to earth in the first place...the MC just kinda went in and blew his lil prophety head off.

Well, the theorists are saying that it's probably because the Covenant was searching for the Ark, the thing that can control all the Halos at once. The theorists ALSO say that the Ark is safely nestled deep beneath Earth's surface and humans, who were altered to evolve into the Forerunners by that species, in the time when humans weren't sentient yet, were meant to guard it, unknowingly, of course. It's said the Covenant were surprised when they found humans living on Earth. And, digging up more evidence to support what the theorists say, in the book series, the UNSC has several planets, including Earth, where ancient ruins and rock fragments have been found. They've got a kind of code-like crystal structure in them and they're most likely Forerunner in origin. Damn, speculation is fun!

Yay!!! go humans!!! that's awesome. Yeah I remember reading about the rock fragments and incriptions and stuff. I wonder how the flood will eventually be contained... Better yet I wonder where the flood came from. were they perhaps an experiment gone wrong by forerunner scientists? hmm...yuppers, speculating is a lot of fun!!!

Yeah, I hope the movie version ends up okay. The latest script that they've been circulating to the studios for evaluation got a huge thumbs down. Everyone who loves Halo- the fans, the producers, Bungie- is begging fate to be kind to them. Usually, video game movies really suck and completely deviate from the course of the story (like that Super Mario Brothers movie, it had nothing to do with the game).

yeah, I don actually think they've got a finished script though, I've been watching it pretty closely and the last I heard they were bringing a few talented writers in. OMG though, they better not fuck this up. If they do....gaah! they better not! This could be the coolest movie ever if they just fallow the story. they don have to change a thing from the game's storyline. I think though that if they change anything, they should focus a bit on the survival of the UNSC forces. like in the Halo book #2:the flood. that'd be so cool! with the warthog convoy, and the ambush with the wraiths. It'd be soo cool!. They really can't make this another super-mario. that sucked so bad.

If they just put everything together and make a movie out of it, make a GOOD movie out of it, all the world shall bow in praise of the greatest motion picture ever to be seen by human eyes.
