Description Ugh, this is an old one. An initial design for a leaning library featured in a script. I plan to recycle this and redraw it based off the same idea, but update it for the script's present incarnation...and because this one is an old picture anyway. It was done with pencil andi nk on cheap 8.5x11 typing paper.

Amazing idea, very origional! I`d love to see it in colour but since it`s an oldie I don`t think that`ll happen. The detail and inking is lovely!

I love it when art takes me to places that could never exist under current laws of physics...

(Especially when the execution/detail/etc. blows me away...)

I like how the lines tighten up and give the illusion of dimness lower down without needing shading or colouring. Great job, amazing detail!

I wish I had that many bookshelves.

This reminds me of a scene from some game...dunno what but nice job...I really like how you were able to put in so much detail. It seems like the place is falling apart but I'm guessing that was your intention...this would be a monster to color by hand...

Only thing I don't like about this is the lack of line variation, which makes it hard to differentiate between parts... everything else is perfection.

Not tracing paper - just cheap typing paper like you use in a printer.

Again, amazing details. I'm wondering how long a typical inked pieced takes you to do?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JayAxer In reply to LCibos [2005-05-25 04:59:18 +0000 UTC]

How long dependso nwhat it is. This one is really old, and was done on 8.5 x 11 so didn't take that long ,especially since it is just thinline without heavy high contrast. The high contrast ones take longer because I manually fill the dark blacks with relatively thin pens.
