This is a real landmark in my caricaturing career. Jones has been one of my top three crushes for years, and when I began to seriously create my caricatures about five years ago, she was one of the subjects I so dearly wanted to draw. But after a few sketches, I just felt I couldn't do her justice. Now years later, I felt I had the skills to make it happen. Here's the result. I've very happy with this. I was drawn to her apple cheeks, her perfectly curved nose, her wide grin and her long curly hair. So I feel like I really accomplished something here, and personal challenges that are met and beaten are a very good thing.Related content

I think her forehead is a little to big, but except from that, it's perfect.

I can appreciate that. It's so hard with caricaturing, because essentially you're supposed to exaggerate someone's face, but it is possible to go slightly too far and have it detract from the subject. It' a fine line we caricaturists walk in our attempt to get it just right, and I'm the first to admit my balance is far from perfect.

Aw, it's not that bad. Your Catherine Zeta-Jones caricature is the only one among your caricatures I think is not perfect, just get over it. I often draw caricatures of my friends, so I know how tough it can be to get the characteristics right.

I think you've nailed the hair perfectly, as you have with everything else. Hair is probably the hardest thing to draw on women, but you've definately done wonders here

Thanks! Even when I feel like I couldn't nail any of the other details on a caricature to my complete satisfaction, I feel comfortable knowing I can almost always get the hair down if nothing else!
