I was in the mood to make another design tonight, and since Rainwhisker and his brother are some of the few first-series ThunderClan cats that I haven't designed yet, and since I just designed their father and could therefore use his lineart, I decided to design Rainwhisker.

I decided to make Rainwhisker thick-furred like his father, while Sootfur will have his mother's short fur. However, while Rainwhisker has his father's shaggy coat, he isn't quite as muscular or broad in build as his father. I used Whitestorm's lineart for Rainwhisker, but I tweaked it so that he's a bit less bulky in build. His head and muzzle aren't as broad as his father's, though he's got his father's ears (minus the tufts on the tips). I only gave him a few scars, since he was only 2-3 years old when he died and didn't seem like an aggressive sort of warrior that would acquire a ton of scars in that little amount of time.

For his pattern, I based him very heavily off of his mother's design. He has facial stripes like her, though he lacks the stripes around his muzzle that she has, and he has little marks above his eyes unlike her. His belly fur placement is almost identical to hers, other than the addition of the lighter color on his muzzle and the coloring on his cheeks. I thought it would be fitting if he had a body shape and fur length very similar to his father, but a patter and colors that were more similar to his mother.

Color-wise, he's a much darker shade of his mother's gray pelt, which has a bluish shade to it. Like her, his darker belly fur color is much less saturated than his main fur. His nose is gray, unlike his mother's pink nose, but even a dark pink nose didn't look right with his dark gray pelt, so I just made it gray. His ear color is a darker, more saturated shade of his mother's ear color, and his scars are a darker shade of hers. Since he's described as having blue eyes, I gave him the exact same shade of blue eyes as his mother.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with this. ^^ I'll get to Sootfur next, though probably not tonight, as it's late.
