Hoshi is a carefree and childish person. She also has a short attention span and sometimes won't notice things until much later. Which sometimes gets her in serious trouble. Her instincts aren't very sharp. If there's danger it might take several seconds before she starts running.

Hoshi and her family of 5 lived in a small cottage in the forest. Having not much money, they earned it through selling things they make. Hoshi liked to collect the rare herbs out in the forest to sell. Every week, her family would take a trip out to sell the things they collected. The money they got was just enough to support the family, plus a little extra to put into savings. One day, however, her mother went to sell their things and never came back. After several days of her missing, her dad left on a trip to find her, leaving Hoshi with her older brother and sister. Before either of her parents came back, the forest broke out in a huge forest fire. She, her brother, and her sister ran, coming all the way to Gale Spring. With some leftover money they had in their pockets, they bought things to make little toys out of. Eventually they sold enough they could get a small room for themselves. Her brother and sister later left her to live all alone, chasing dreams of rich and fame. Hoshi now lives alone, making money out of selling food from a food stand she has.
