Hillo, guys!
I'm fine, thank you. I was just sad I couldn't draw Axl in one particular art, so I started to sketch... and accidently made a sketch with a perfectly done angle work. I'm actually really bad at drawing characters from more complex angles so I was impressed by this one and turned into a full bustshot.
I also discovered that I feel more confident in drawing when I'm cleaning up the sketch so it can be turned into a lineart. Like I always do in my traditional drawings. Although doing so in digital usually means that the line size will be sacrificed completely as it's all over the place :/
There's no gradients though. I would include them, but I was finishing this piece right before falling asleep. I didn't really had ability to add them XD
Also, yeah, I'm still experimenting with the style. I got what I wanted in traditional, but now I need to do the same in digital. I'll explain some choices I did here:
*If someone thinks Axl's eyes should have some shadow, then you're wrong. Repliroid eyes are just a pair of displays and cameras. They will glow in the dark, pretty much like a monitor in the dark room at night. Maybe there're some exceptions to this, but most of them are like that.
*Yeah, I draw Axl's hair more fluffy than it should be. I just like the way it looks... But I don't have a proper excuse to this, I just draw him more cutier than he should be, dammit.
*"Do repliroids have eyebrows?". Well, some have, so why not give Axl eyebrows too?
They're cutted in the middle because... well... they could've been damaged when Axl got his scar. I dunno, I just really wanted to give him eyebrows like this.
And I made Axl look more grown up than he should be, I think XD
