1st thing, I really like your version of the girls. (especially since they aren't all white hehe)
2nd they can be any ethnicity you want them to be.
So, yup... when I drew them only two of them were "caucasian", apple jack was one of them >_< hehe everyone else varied ^_^

And yes, they CAN be any ethnicity you want. And honestly, it's really okay if you see one or more of the Mane 6 as White. To be honest, Applejack and Fluttershy seem to be the ones I see drawn White the most anyway. What I have a problem with personally is when people draw them ALL White and then think that their way is the ONLY way and then go around criticizing other people who draw them as POC/mostly POC. -.-
And I like your version of the Ponies. And hey, we share an headcanon, South Asian Twilight! :3

Someone I had talked to wants to make Rarity as black/french so, just a train ride away from your version.
When I see them all white I don't want to say "no they can't be" because as I said they can be anything. It's when ppl say they can't be this other ethnicity, is the fact that annoys me more. For crying out loud, they are color freaking ponies which equals anything <_<
I really haven't had any issues on my stuff on, why or can't be...sep for spike being black. However, the person that left the post responded by saying that they were just quoting a meme, if he was serious or not I don't care I can imagine Spike as a black kid >_>
