Naw man, you were cool before Busta and will be cool when he's done in studio. Now that the Con is out of the way, I'm gonna try to make it down there. I have really submersed myself in the art thing though so I have no idea. When I do I will hit you up for sure.

What days? When hip hop was more that a catchy hook that soon turned annoyin (ie "Party Like Rock Star, Party Like Rock Star, Party Like Rock Star, Party Like Rock Star")? Yeah me too. Some say it was just knows but man those were the days. Even in the most raunchy and explicit lyrics, there could often be poetry. Other times its was just fun man. I miss those days. "Back in the day, when i was young im not a kid anymore, but somedays i sit and wish i was a kid again...."

For me, hip hop and rap had a lot more variety "back in the days'. You had hard core (NWA, 2Live), you had sexy (Big Daddy, Candyman), youhad mad skills (KoolMoDee), an you had the entertainers (KidnPlay, Fresh Prince).

Nowadays it seems all about the Hoes and the Gangsters. I really don't see the variety nor skill that was around years ago.

Exactly. I completely agree. You have to look hard to find the real ones today. They are there tho. Outkast, Common, The Roots, etc. But yeah the whole hoes and wanna be thugs are just killin it. And the worst part is that it is seeping into other music too. R&B is gettin it ("I'm in Love with a Stripper" what?) Rock is gettin it too, Kid Rock is a failed rapper. Fred Durst too. Even COUNTRY! Look at Rob and Big, is that right? The "savea horse ride a cowboy" guys? Cowboy Troy. Its spreading and the bad partr is that the reason its spreading is because of the good stuff you mentioned like Public Enemy, De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest Wu Tang. But now that othjers have accepted hip hop, they are falling in with the bad crowd and just ruinin it.

Man there is good music out there, it just doesnt get the airplay like it used to. Radio is tryin to kill hip hop, but it just wont die.
