i was trying to see what people like best, but i didn't find out anything really. this one had more views, but less favs per view, but more comments. The other one had more favorites per views, far less comments. but people seem to like them both.

well I like them both, technically speaking I think they're greatly achieved, great composition and you were able to capture the precise moment where this wonderful scene was goin on. The second version of this (the one with the texture) has a special summat to it, that makes it more appealing to me (but then again, Im fond of vintage looking photos) plus summat about the indie music makes me feel like your kind of post processing suits it perfectly. it's really more of a subjective thing, I really like your style, and I think the post processing plus your photographic skills makes your photos really great, and the special details that you add to it define your style. I think in the end, it all comes down to what you like. People may like it or not.
Perhaps you should try a poll + encourage comments, that should help you get other ppl's point of view
