The Dark Side of Morning
This title was not chosen from a book or a song or anything, it was something I thought of to describe the way Kingsley is feeling. It's morning and whilst the sun is shining and the sea is quite beautiful, his girlfriend had just left him so he's miserable, his heart is broken, he's depressed, and there were far too many fluids being poured the night before, so he's quite hungover with a terrible headache as well. I was quite pleased to have come up with something original for the title.
Then I decided to search for this phrase on the internet and found it was linked to some very striking images which were made by a photographer named Douglas R. Gilbert over a period of two years in the 1960s at a school in New York City for children diagnosed with infantile autism. [link]
I found it very interesting that we should choose that title for our works which show a darker element to the brightest parts of our lives.

heh, well i wasn't thinking of that at all when i thought of the title. i was very happy, i reckoned i'd thought of an original title, describing the dark side of an otherwise beautiful morning - heartbreak, hangover, dark punk rocker. quite pleased i was and then i thought i'll google it. turns out this was also the title of a set of photographs taken of some autistic children at a state school in the early 60s. very interesting, as i also have an autistic child
