original (based on an old photo of me); oil paintingThis painting is me when I was pretty young--probably 5 or 6. I think it captures my personality pretty well (I still haven't really grown up!).

Ha ha! I was a very hairy youngster! Actually, it's just a dirty face from chocolate or something, but now that you said beard all I can see is a little lumberjack!

That's what I was thinking while looking at it...and since you know your own personality (perhaps even remember what you were thinking at the time of that photo) you can better incorporate the eye/mouth expression.

I think part of the nostalgia may be from the brownish hues? Anyway, it did remind me a lot of my childhood while painting it!
