Description
So, here's my take on what the lovely fellow Dierk, who is mentioned in the flavor text of a few Innistrad cards. Frankly, I think I've done well with this idea.As always, feedback is welcome.

I really just want him to be a card so I could play him... but I do think this idea is really cool.
Not to mention having a transforming commander in EDH.

I'm running Geist of Saint Traft now, but if Deirk was any good of a card, I'd swap to him pretty fast... since Geist is a pretty overdone control shell.

I found the artwork somewhere online, IIRC. Searched out the artist's name, Igor Kieryluk. He's done some awesome work.

Nice card ! The link between the name, the capacity and the flavor text is well done, so I definitely like !
I think it's balanced, the ability to blast creatures by sacrifying the spirits counterbalanced by the fact that Dierk, Geistmage can't produce Spirit tokens anymore. I'm just surprised by the fact that the damage ability is blue, but why not, there are some blue cards that deal damage after all...
About the realisation, I think there are some mistakes in the capital letters, but no real problem (and as I'm French I'm not sure myself about the exact formulation of english Magic cards every time, even if I hope that I have a correct level in english). It's a shame that the image is a little bit blurred, but I can't blame you for that, it may come from the saving in JPG or the uploading !

The original images were a bit blurry, sadly.
As to the capitalization, I used other cards as references, to make sure it was correct.
As to the ability being blue, I used the idea of a geistmage being able to compel a spirit to "detonate" at a target.

I've just checked on Gatherer, there is no need for capitalization for "first strike" and "toughness". The formulation of the abilities of Dierk, Geistmage should have been:
Flying
Spirits you control get +1/+1 and gain first strike.
{2}{U}, Sacrifice a Spirit creature: Dierk, Geistmage deals damage equal to the sacrificed Spirit's toughness to target creature.
