Basic Statistics

Name: Gita Kaul
Nicknames: Gigi, G, Bhagini (by Reva and Chanda; Hindi for "sister"), Gita-kun (by Tetsuya; insulting initially, then affectionatley), Doctor G (by Mikey and Raph), Shorty (affectionately by the turtles)
Age: 9
Nationality: Hindi
Socioeconomic Level as a child: lower class until age 7; after that it no longer applies.
Socioeconomic Level as an adult: no longer applies
Hometown: slums in Tamil Nadu, India
Current Residence: NYC sewer system
Occupation: none
Parents' Jobs: both parents, Asha (mother-deceased) and Deo Kaul (father) were unemployed. However, Deo found a delivery job in another city after abandoning his kids. Gita was six at the time.
Talents/Skills: Gita has slight empathetic abilities, which means she can feel the emotions of another person. This skill often leads her play therapist if someone (namely her siblings or the turtles) are feeling upset or angry, and tries to help them figure out and/or come to terms with the cause of their distress. Gita also has a penchant for singing, and is actually quite good at it. Her singing is often used to attract a crowd whenever she and Chanda are street performing. Reva has also been teaching her a bit of dancing, though modern street dancing seems to be her favorite. Also, upon request of Reva and Chanda, Splinter has agreed to teach Gita some ninjitsu. When beginning her training with the turtles, she is equipped with a pair of tonfas.
Birth order: youngest of three
Parents (describe relationship): Due to her mother dying almost a week after giving birth to her, Gita knows almost nothing about her. Despite that, she has always carried a sense of guilt that she was the reason her mother died, despite her siblings' numerous protests. She and her father were a bit estranged because, unlike her siblings, he did blame her for his wife's death and was often rather cold and aloof towards her, often saying she was useless to helping their family survive, and was more than often tempted to dump her at an orphanage. When he abandoned the three of them to look for work in another city, Gita was honestly happy to see him go.
Siblings (describe relationship): Gita has a deep relationship with her older twin siblings. Reva and Chanda aren't just her older brother and sister, they're her teachers, her guardians, and her closest friends. But despite that, they ARE still siblings. The two often gang up on her, tease her, make her wonder how in hell she's related to them. And, to her annoyance, they had both taken an immediate interest in her relationship with Tetsuya, though for different reasons...
Relationship skills: Gita, unlike her siblings, is not extremely social and would rather be on the side lines than in the spotlight. She is horribly awkward when first meeting people and often keeps to herself unless she is approached by someone. She loosens up and is more social in a group she is more familiar with.

Physical Characteristics

Height: 4'9 ft
Weight: 98 lbs
Species: human turned mutant lizard
Eye Color: left: gold right: brown
Hair Color: whitish blonde
Glasses or contact lenses?: not until she's 14
Distinguishing features: Gita is very tiny, both vertically and horizontally. According to Don, since she was mutated at such a young age, the most she will grow is probably, at most, another 2 inches, as well as stopping her chest growth (aka no boobs). Her white hair makes her very easy to recognize in a crowd and is, according to Reva and April, so much fun to play with.
Mannerisms: Gita tends to be rather slouchy whenever she walks or sits, a habit she most likely picked up from Chanda. However, ever since she began her training with the turtles, she had begun to walk with a bit more proper posture.
Habits: Gita has an annoying habit of chewing on her hair ends whenever she's bored or thinking, a habit Reva's been attempting to get her out of. In order to strengthen her endurance and speed, she frequently joins the rooftop runs with both her siblings and the turtles, with it more often being turned into a race against both parties.
Hobbies: Aside from singing, Gita learned that she absolutely loves to read. However, do to her reading in dimly lit sewer tunnels, she was forced to get glasses.
Style: Gita could care less about fashion and just dresses in whatever's the comfiest to move around in.
Greatest flaws: She thinks that she is a burden to her siblings. During her time as a human, her siblings often had to work extra hard in order to provide just enough for them to get through a few days, and this led Gita to think about how much easier it would be for them to live if they didn't have her around. It got worse after the mutation, because she blamed herself for her and her siblings getting captured in the first place. The idea that her older siblings would hate her scared her so much that she actually stopped talking for a few months, though Reva and Chanda thought that the silence came from being traumatized by the mutation.
Best qualities: She is extremely loving towards her family and friends. She hates seeing anyone in a sad mood and would often either listen to what is bothering them, or finds a way to cheer the up. She loves keeping busy, so she is always willing to help chores around her home, play video games with Mikey, train with any of the turtles, etc. It allows her to kill time and do some major bonding time.

Intellectual/Mental/Personality Attributes and Attitudes

Educational Background: Living in the slums, Gita wasn't really open to education. She was taught, however, by Reva and Chanda some basic street-knowledge and how to use her surroundings to her advantage. After becoming friends with the turtles, Don started teaching her literature. She picked up on it almost instantly and has ever since been a literature nut.
Intelligence Level: average
Any Mental Illnesses?: none
Character's short-term goals in life: Become skilled in martial arts.
Character's long-term goals in life: Being at such a young age, Gita doesn't really have any long-term goals yet
How does Character see himself/herself?: Because she was formerly a human, Gita does not exactly feel like she's pretty as a mutant lizard. She feels she lacks her older siblings' self-esteem and boldness, which is what she believes makes them so attractive as mutants.
How does Character believe he/she is perceived by others?: To her siblings and her friends, Gita is absolutely adorable. They do tend to worry that she tries to grow up too quickly. Reva and Chanda want Gita to understand that they love being able to take care of her, and they just want her to enjoy being a kid.
How self-confident is the character?: Being a 9 year old human turned mutant girl, Gita does not always radiate self-confidence.
Does the character seem ruled by emotion or logic or some combination thereof?: As a child, her curiosity tends to get her in a bit of trouble
What would most embarrass this character?: Being told she's beautiful. She's still trying to get used to the fact that Reva and Chanda call her cute. Being called beautiful would just send her over the edge.

Emotional Characteristics

Strengths: kind, loyal, steadfast
Weaknesses: shy, insecure, sarcastic
Introvert or Extrovert? solely depends on who she's with
With sadness?: she tends to bottle up her sadness in order to keep her siblings from worrying
With conflict?: she get's very stressed whenever she feels conflicted, and has actually thrown up a few times from being overstressed
With change?: After the mutation, Gita learned to accept that change isn't always a bad thing
With loss?: The only people she's ever lost were her parents. Her mother died when she was a week old and her father abandoned her when she was six. However, she didn't really feel overly saddened by these losses because she didn't even know her mother, and she never got along with her father.
What does the character want out of life?: She just wants to be happy.
What motivates this character?: Her love for her siblings and desire to become stronger.
What frightens this character?: Being alone. When she was a human, she often had to stay home alone while Reva and Chanda went on their theft runs. She knew they had to leave her home so that she wouldn't get hurt, but she often got nervous if they were out real late, which often led to paranoid ideas that they were arrested or killed. During their time in the lab, whenever the twins were taken away for tests, which would sometimes last for days, Gita practically had nervous breakdowns. After they escaped Gita wanted her siblings with her all the time, and usually went into hysterics if either of them were gone for more then 20 minutes.
Is the character judgmental of others?: She doesn't really think she has the right to be.
Is the character generous or stingy?: generous
Is the character generally polite or rude?: very polite with elders such as Splinter, but rude to anyone who's rude to her

whew! that was time consuming XD

First of all, good job on the profile and the picture. Second, I'd like to point out that the honorific, this Tetsuya guy is using on your character is rude no matter what he does, since Kun is used when you talk to a boy. If you talk to a girl, you use Chan. Other than that, this is an awsome profile.

According to my Japanese teacher, you can use kun for girls.

I have read it in some manga, although I don't watch anime. It is mostly used for boys, though.
