I wonder how many "Lord of the Rings" geeks I fooled with that title.In 2005, I was a little disappointed when I found out that "Family Guy" was getting revived instead of "Futurama". I was even more disappointed when I saw how badly the new "Family Guy" episodes suck. But now, with the direct-to-DVD release of Bender's Big Score just over a month away, and with new episodes coming to Comedy Central in 2008, I feel justice has been done.
After all, even before the revival, I felt the lowbrow antics of "Family Guy" were child's play compared to the brilliant humor and solid emotion of "Futurama". It's nice to know that they finally brought back the one cancelled FOX show that actually deserved to be resuscitated.

Honestly, both shows are petty good. After all, Family Guy's humor is similar to The Simpsons', except more focused on cutaways and toilet jokes, which I find very good. But I respect your opinion about the new episodes.

I wish this really happened. Futurama is hilarious and had episodes that made you cry. Family Guy is gross and crass.

I've seen Family Guy call other shows like Bob's Burgers terrible. Being called a terrible show by Family Guy is like being called a fat ass by this guy: resources2.news.com.au/images/β¦

I can top that. I read an interview with Seth MacFarlane in Entertainment Weekly today, and he said something like "We all watched the Bugs Bunny cartoons and the Road Runner cartoons growing up, and we understand why they're so important, but do we really laugh at them?"
Which is his backhanded way of saying he doesn't think Looney Tunes are funny. So I think it's safe to say that this man has no damn clue what humor is.

It's sad thinking of how Futurama and Family Guy couldn't be more different back when they first came out compared to present day where the sole differences are the art style and the fact that one is set in the future. I happened to catch Futurama's last premiere and it's amazing how little the show resembles its pre-cancellation /revival episodes.
