I did do a couple of drawings while I was gone. This one was for Father's Day and all, but it's of course late... As a Super Mario fan, it's obvious to go with Bowser and Bowser Jr. for this occasion, but I had to go and make it cringe by throwing my "not headcanon" into the mix as well. Naturally neither of these dads would be comfortable with their child playing with the other, considering the long history of violence between themselves. That and Junior's tried to wipe out Mario quite a number of times himself, which only makes matters worse. Perhaps these two kiddos will get to hang out when Bowser finally turns a new leaf? ...Ha ha, like that will ever happen! Hope you guys like this drawing!P.S. Completely forgot to comment on this earlier, but after the last interaction with Hat Kid, this one only makes sense as the next logical progression. Thought it may never be canon, the thought of Hat Kid and Mario being related works so dang well, and I definitely enjoy how you explored the possibilities of it just like with the previous drawing! 
Overall it's awesome to see something new from ya, your sense of humor was sorely missed and one that's not easily replaced! Looking forward to seeing more my good sir!

What's the deal with this "crack" relationship -- to use the language of those rude defamation lovers!? For licensing reasons, "A Hat In Time" would never be allowed to use the Mario brand, let alone use the Mario character as the father of the main protagonist.
But at the very least, those two nemeses have a point. Bowser Jr. should never be allowed to date any fan character created to be a child for Mario. Or for that matter, any good character, fan-made or official...

Of course not; it's just to be funny. I wouldn't say never though; Nintendo may (emphasis on MAY) decide to do a crossover game with A Hat in Time, just like how they just recently did a crossover between The Legend of Zelda and another indie game, Crypt of the Necrodancer. The father thing wouldn't happen at all though; especially since here, the mother is fan character of mine.
The implication isn't the two dating; they're too young for that. When they express wanting to play with the other, that's a literal statement. And when it comes to a fan character, it would really depend on how well it's written. If done effectively, it COULD still be interesting. But that concept would be really easy to screw up and make into ultimate cringe instead. And don't try a romantic story where he's still a little kid.
