Description
This is a self portrait of my eye. It is a bit of a work in progress. This is my real first attempt on an eye. I am trying all sorts of techniques on this one. I am using tortillians/stumps and tissues for blending. I am also using a range (4H-6B) of graphite on this as well as my HB mechanical pencils, all three sizes 0.5, 0.7 and 0.9. I still need to get the 0.3 one. The troubles I am having are with the lashes upper and lower as well as the eyebrow. I am practicing on sheets of paper to get the eyebrow strokes down but I cannot for the life of me do it. The iris is very very tough. I see some of these other portraits and it blows me away what these other artists do. One day though I will get there. Any tips/tricks/techniques out there let me know. Thanks for stopping by.
