This is the first issue cover to The Wings of Diaidra, my latest project with Jade Gonzalez.
Diadra is Diane's cousin who's entrusted with watching over Oswald.

Intriguing! I love how the stance of the fairy is. So strong and staunch defender like! I always wonder what's beyond the right of the piece that's they're pressing forward to...

This one is very cute. The framing effect of the background objects is nice.

not bad j.d but try a bit of opposing curve when inking something. the lines are somewhat uniform and all the objects blend in with each other which kinda messes placement.
the characters themselves are wonderful and are very endearing.

The piece is inked for color, not by me but by my artist Jade Gonzalez.

I think over all approach of anime/manga style and traditional western inking/illustration styles can be jarring at times, especially when you see a piece like this, that's only half dressed.
You'll see what I mean when I post up the color version.
