Very fine work John and very true about the importance of the eye in any form of portrait work, also applies very much to wildlife photography , particularly birds which is another hobby of mine (not on my current site)
I am hopeless with pen and pencil or brush but I have seen many works of this type and yours is as fine as any and a darn sight better than most
