It was March 4th, 2018, and I was told that Mr. Stiers passed away at the 3rd at the age of 75.Β
David was a great actor, doing the voice rolls in Disney animated films; Cogsworth/Narrator (Beauty and the Beast), Governor Ratcliffe/Wiggins (Pocahontas), the Archdeacon (The Hunchback of Notre Dame),Β Fenton Q. Harcourt Β (Atlantis: The Lost Empire), and Dr. Jumba Jookiba (Lilo and Stitch).
I will also remember that he did a roll in a Live-Action film and Disney's 192 movie, 'Iron Will '.

To my generation, he was Major Charles Emerson Winchester III on the television series M*A*S*H, his stirring voice was the narration of many documentaries on various topics from scientific to historical. Rest in Peace.
