Between the two, I like this one. It looks *thought out*, where as the other one looks like buttons were pushed to make it. This is only my humble opinion.

Euh...... I'm often surprised by the difference  between the way of making a picture and the perception of this by other persons., In fact for these it's exactly the opposite they look like for you. "Departure" was made in "automatic mood", I really don't know what I'm going to do when I begin a picture. "Okapi" was the result of many treatments and manipulations because I really wanted to make this animal appear...

Most of my artwork is made that way, I usually don't have an idea...just starting with lines or colors. But I don't see that as *automatic mood*, but more like something that comes from inside, something that  can't be dragged out, but have to let happen.
