(Fluttershy and Sweetheart are busy at the Animal Shelter, when Melody walks in)Melody: Uh, hey, girls.
Fluttershy: Oh, hello, Melody.
Sweetheart: What are you doing here, sis?
Melody: Well..., you see...
(Flashback)
Melody: (narrating) I was walking along, when I noticed people with their puppies. (She passes someone walking the blue whiner dog) Walking their puppies. (She looks and sees Bulk Biceps with his dog at a restaurant table) Eating with their puppies. (She looks to the park and sees Twilight Sparkle and Spike, Flash Sentry and Banana, and Belle Harmony and Lucky Shot playing) Playing with their puppies. (Twilight hugs Spike) Being happy with their puppies. (Melody looks down with a sad look) And it got me thinking...
(End of the flashback)
Melody: Sure would be nice to have a puppy too. So, I came here to see if Fluttershy could maybe, help me find a puppy?
Fluttershy: (gasps in joy) I thought you'd never ask! (Whistles and a bunch of dogs come in)
Melody: Whoa! That's a lot of dogs!
Fluttershy: Mmm hmm. Don't worry, Melody. We'll help you find a puppy in no time!
Sweetheart: Yeah!
Melody: Thanks, girls, but I want my puppy to be the perfect puppy!
Fluttershy: All puppies are perfect, Melody. We just need to find the right one for you.
Sweetheart: So, what did you have in mind?
Melody: I don't really know? All I know is...

Shihtzu?

[Fluttershy and Sweetheart]
What's wrong with you?
[Melody]
Maybe I'm afraid of hair
Pick up pooh, I wouldn't dare
But my biggest fear might be
Will I love it

Sweetheart: Melody.
Melody: Sorry.
(They hear a long howl and Melody looks up to see a purple dog howling like it's singing. They look at each other in slow motion with hearts all around them.)
Melody: He's awesome!
Hey pal, I'll tell you what
Some say you're just a mutt
But when I look up I see
The perfect puppy for meeeeeee!
Dog: Arrroooowwww!
Sweetheart: So, what are you gonna call him?
Melody: I think I'll call him... DJ!
