HISTORY

Old Hob was once a stray cat, until one night, he was hit by a canister of Mutagen and turned into a mutant.

He became a member of the Mutanimals, and eventually met the Turtles, but he was less friendly toward their human friends. As the ninjas were sleeping over at the Mutanimals' place, Hob attacked April, Casey, and Keno in their sleep, but because it was dark, they didn't know it was him. Then when they were fighting the Purple Dragons, he was very ruthless on them, to the point where some begged for mercy and he had to be stopped by the Turtles. Slash and some of the Mutanimals told him off for that, but Hob didn't seem to care and just left to go on patrol. At that point the Ninjas began to get suspicious of Old Hob.

Their suspicions were proven right, when they found Jack Kurtzman injured just like their allies. When they confronted him, they learned that Hob had a deep seeded hatred for humans, which he revealed was because he had been mistreated by every human he ran into before his mutation, especially the Purple Dragons who had once tied bags to his paws and laughed at him. He also said that he believed that mutants were superior.

"We're bigger, stronger, faster, and smarter than those meatsacks! And yet, you and mutanimals do what ever you can to protect them, but will they ever appreciate what you do, hardly! In their eyes we're nothing but freaks! They take one look at us and either faint or run away screaming! Some would even go so far as to experiment on us! Dissect us! Torture us! Mistreat us for their own amusement! Humans will never except or care about us! So why should we?"

The Turtles said that although many humans would see them as freaks or specimens, there were lots of humans who would see them as friends, and they had many human allies to proove that. But Hob refused to believe them. He then said he had big plans and stated that if they weren't with him, they were against him and surprised them with a Kraang bazooka and took off. They chased after him until he was intercepted and knocked out by Slash. Then Bishop arrived and had Hob taken to custody.

However, Hob didn't stay imprisoned for long. He managed to escape back to earth were he form his own team of mutants called H.A.V.O.C

Trivia
Unlike his IDW counterpart, he was mutated by one of the canisters that the Turtles accidentally spilled from the Kraang Ship.
The coat he's wearing is Jack Kurtzman's coat, which he did not get from him nicely. And as you can tell by the picture, he also managed to steal an Utrom bazooka.
