This is a great piece and what makes it so great is that the technique and colors are not only unique but it perfectly captures the emotion of the subject which is the basics of developing a skill that people can relate to. There's a sense of naivety and yet satisfaction from mastering a skill that this piece conveys to me and while many pictures can capture beauty, what many lack that would propel them to a degree beyond what they already are at is the ability to capture emotion and portray that to the viewer. I think that is what this does - as well as already capturing beauty.Β
Very inspiring, great work, style I would love to see more of, unique interpretation of the character's facial structure and hair that I think came out well - it stays true to the original while still giving a whole new take.Β
Not sure what else to say to convince you that this artwork really impressing me from a critical viewpoint. Really good.Β

I understand the issues people have with the skin tone, however I don't think you should have to feel guilty over it, its a lovely picture and it wasn't done on purpose. I for one enjoy varying interpretations of Korra and appreciate the beauty of Korra's personality presented here, not the colour of her skin. Cute!
