Description

Spreed was alone, a ghost stalking in the shadows, shying from the light. The world had rejected her; yes, even her, just another moc built and loved by the Creator. So what if she was a creature of the darkness? Does life not live and breath in both the day and the night? Were the theatrical rules of light and darkness now law that governed everyone's destiny? Fine. They wanted to push her away? She'd push them out. They wanted to fear her? She'd give them the fear they wanted. And so Spreed lived her days alone, shunning the world that couldn't seem to find the heart to love her.

Then one day, someone ventured into Spreed's realm. In the midst of her skulking, her dream was shattered with two words: "Hi there!" Looking up, Spreed saw another Mini Mayhem standing before her. He didn't pass by or run away, but stood there and actually began to speak to her as if to make a friend. She was so startled she just barely caught his name as he introduced himself: "Fawnix." He mentioned how he'd heard about Spreed but had never seen her before. When he asked what she had been up to, she didn't reply. She couldn't. What activity could she talk about that wouldn't creep him out? What could she possibly talk about at all?! Seeing no end but failure to this exchange, she simply turned and walked off, leaving Fawnix behind and melting into the safety of the shadows.

While brooding the next day, Spreed was once more drawn out of her dark thoughts- to her surprise- by the same Mini Mayhem. Fawnix didn't seem bothered by her premature departure from the other day. In fact, he himself apologized for any offense he might have caused and asked to start over. Spreed was, yet again, shocked beyond words. Was this guy giving her another chance? Nobody had ever done that before. Nobody had been able to deal with her stoic silence and probing gaze and were more than happy to avoid repeating such an encounter. Now someone was returning for more after she intentionally killed the conversation? Something stirred her stiff heart, prompting her to take a chance and contribute by listening if nothing else. For Fawnix, that seemed to be enough. The exchange was awkward but strangely satisfying. Eventually, Fawnix decided to call it in and departed. "Have a good one, Spreed!" As Spreed watched Fawnix leave, she couldn't bear to stay silent. Hastily, she called out, "Have too a good one!... Too!" She fled in embarrassment before Fawnix could react.

The two crossed paths more often after that. Over time, Spreed would approach Fawnix on her own accord. Eventually, Spreed found her own voice. She was never much of a talker, but it was nice to have someone listen to what little she had to say without demanding her contribution. In return, Fawnix learned to brave the night for more hang time and even learned what music Spreed liked to dance with when she was alone. The two began to form a bond closer and stronger than they had yet realized.

Unbeknown to Spreed, Fawnix suffered the trial of comparing his own averageness next to Spreed's fascinating character. Finally, Fawnix decided to impress her by showing her his Phoenix Mode, the one thing he felt made him special. After gaining a curious Spreed's permission, Fawnix released his inner power. The flaming image of gold and red nearly overloaded Spreed's senses. Never before had she witnessed anything so majestic! It made her want to scream with joy! It made her want to hug the beautiful avatar! It made her want to- At that moment, she fled to the deepest, darkest corner of the house she could find to hide her emotions, not bearing to have anyone see her ruin her cool image with such girly feelings. She was gone before Fawnix could question what happened.

Terrified that he somehow hurt her, Fawnix searched day and night for the entire week to find her. Fortunately, he was able to find her in her first hiding spot, still overwhelmed by her close call of emotional outburst. With his gentle words he calmed her enough to tell him what was wrong. Shakily Spreed confessed her feelings: Of how Fawnix's kindness changed her life; of how much every minute they spent together meant a lifetime to her; of how "smoking-hot" his Phoenix mode was- her embarrassment kicked in when she blurted that. But in turn, Fawnix confessed how much he admired Spreed with her exotic character, not to mention her strength and other amazing abilities. With the veils pulled aside, the two finally realized their love for each other. Spreed found the best friend one could have, and Fawnix's life was enriched by something extraordinary. And so their lives became bound together, then and forever.
