Well, I did a couple with my half-done Kakuzu. I have everything for him but the Akatsuki robe... which is still being made for me. XD It should have been done by Anime Central in May, but, oh well...
I wanted to do full body, but I didn't feel like doing all the stitches. >P
Only things altered were minor touch-ups, color fix, and I lightened my skin so it looked more... Kakuzu-ish. ^__^

I never got around to doing "real" stitches, mostly because this cosplay STILL isn't finished T_T

no, lol, i lied. i was thinking of when i actually did it and not just for these pics. in this (and the other ones posted) the stitches are done with just makeup - black aquacolor, to be exact.

really thick thread - possibly quilting or leather-working thread... waxed... and attached with a combo of liquid laytex and spirit gum.

Okay! I have another question for you!
How did you sew the white part on the mask? >__< Do you have a pattern or something I could borrow...? Everytime I try it just looks like.. a gross weird hood O_o

actually i sewed it first like a hood. then i connected the front part, so there's 2 seams. i think i looked at 1 of my hoodies to get an idea of how hoods worked, but... no pattern. sorry.

ha, the funny thing is i didn't put any effort into them b/c when i do him for real for a con, i'm making "real" stitches with thread and scar tissue... yay 4 stage makeup classes...
