What did you do Kakuzu's stitches with? I'm currently battling with liquid eye liner.

Aquacolor in black. great for ppl with sensitive skin. comes in a cake form , just wet a paintbrush and have at it. they make a finishing spray for aquacolor too that sets it, otherwise it's highly water soluble. i'm not a heavy sweater so it stays on me fine. but it will also rub off (like on clothing) but its washable.

Kakuzu is the easiest to cosplay. you just cover your face and pretend your really possessive over your money. buy you look awsome!

jedimarajade2 In reply to HotDeidara [2011-12-29 14:30:49 +0000 UTC]
well, the original intent of my kakuzu was to be able to take the face mask off and have "real" stitches underneath it. or go without the head thing & mask entirely. i learned how to do fake stitches in stage makeup class that aren't just painted on...

yeah, but then they don't look real. i painted them on for the pics, but when i use the cosplay, they will be "real"

Sorry if someone has already asked this, but did you make the costume yourself? If you did, how did you make the mask/hood?
Awesome cosplay, by the way :3

jedimarajade2 In reply to Mutantdragon [2010-10-22 19:15:41 +0000 UTC]
actually some1 did, but i forgot if it was for this pic or one of the others... and i'm too lazy 2 go look, lol...
they are separate pieces. the hood is 2 pieces sewn in the middle. if you have a hoodie sweatshirt, look at how the hood is on that. it's basically that with the front sewn up some under the chin.
the mask... lol, i'm not sure exactly how i made it. alot of trial and error. the tabs on the end connect it to the hood with velcro, so i can rip it off when i get sick of breathing thru fabric. it has darts, i guess they're called, over the nose and 2 around chin. find some cheap or extra fabric and screw around with it for a while until you get measurements and shape right. that's what i had to do. or even try making one out of paper first, which can be used as a sort of pattern later. but the measurements to consider are the width from side to side (the tabs) across nose, the width and how far your chin protrudes, same with nose... lol, sorry but you'll basically just have to do what i did, trial and error, till you get one that works. it was hard, and it isn't perfect (it looks way better in the pictures then it does up close, trust me), but it's functional. lol, i don't even use them anymore - i do a mask/hood-less kakuzu with "real" stitches (not painted on ones) so it just lays around now, lol

*sigh* i don't mean to sound rude, but you didn't read my artist comments, did you? i photoshopped my eyes - you can't buy contacts like this. the closest you can get is sclera contacts: [link] (middle/bottom of page)
again, sorry if i sound rude but sooooo many ppl have asked...

scleras are very expensive too. i hear most places, unless they do hollywood-quality stuff, doesn't do them right and they hurt your eyes. *shrug* your better bet is to just get the good old black out contacts. they look just as cool and creepy, alot less expensive, way more comfortable. who cares if he doesn't have black eyes - they just look cool.

Yeah Well the place i found it'll cost me like $320 for a pair. Just means the pupil will be black which is alright. i'd like to get as close to it as i can. If now black or dark red could work

wow, $320 for black out? wow... lol, do you have walmarts in Australia? b/c here, you pay $50 for the eye exam, and then for the contacts which in the end your in, like, $100...
