This contest is to listen to the song Pretty Buildings by People In Planes, and draw or write something that expresses it.

So, my entry is of my OC White Alice. For whoever doesn't know, she's based off of old memories and things that were lost...so she's a pretty melancholy character and hasn't had an easy life. And yes, that's why I pick on her whenever I feel like drawing something gloomy.

I listened to the song as I was drawing this, and it changed so many times between doing the lineart to finally settling on a background. But as I was drawing, I paid attention to the lyrics, and as it went on, it seemed to fit more and more.

Wonder what she's doing now
And whether she's still living

This line felt like it was being sung about her as she's walking away into oblivion, like her old mate/boyfriend who abandoned her is remembering and wishing he knew where she was, but now it's too late.

I don't wanna feel this low again
I don't wanna steal your flame again
I don't wanna feel
'Cause you know it hurts like hell

And these lines are her. These are...her, nearly exactly. She's had enough. She's leaving. I don't know where she's going, but it's somewhere she won't be in pain anymore and where she can't hurt anyone else either.

So. Yup.
