Though rats are oft maligned, not all are scurrying hoodlums. None can deny the noble bearing of this fellow. He carries himself with dignity and grace and has just a bit of stately paunch. He is the king of the rats!-------
I've been meaning to make this little guy for a while now, but it always takes me a while to work out a new plush. He was inspired by one of my fiance's rats.
Ratties are such great pets, despite their short lifespans. Just like tiny pointy kitties.

I have just one kitty, so I have one rat of my own and my boy has two. Little heart breakers because of the short lifespan though...

Very true. I had a hairless girl and a regular boy. He was super sweet she tended to be nippy but never really bit.
She jsut died all of a sudden one day. I'd always fed them both the same time, same food, and same bedding. But she jsut died one day about 2 years into owning her. I cried and cried.
When Snapdragon passed a year later I was sad but he had cancer and I saw it coming so at least I got to give him extra love first.
He never was in any pain. I've had animals long enough to know that but it was still so sad. Most little critter are heartbreakers. But they are also heart stealers which may be why we love them so much we keep buying them.

Yeah, I just lost one of my rattie-pies. They get so many health problems. Pets are heart stealers.
