I. Fireflies
Flickering everywhere
like a fire spewing sparks,
embers rise upward, fading.
Desire. A painful ritual
pulses like memories
almost (never)
forgotten
II. Windchimes
Melodious discord, a
Serendipitous circumstance,
the random effect of an
unseen force:
(fleeting)
like the smile that crept onto your face,
a memory, perhaps, of sun-drenched days.
Only echoes remain.
