"The greatest treasure"

I took part in the "Corazon week" event on Tumblr at July 2015, and the prompt for the sixth day was the precious and important relationship between these two.
This might be my favorite illustration I made that week, because nothing feels better than seeing these two together and taking care of each other. Oh how I wish it didn't have to end so soon. What a good little family they were (I keep hoping we'll see Corazon again and there will be that tearful reunion eventually).

I would have liked to draw colored illustrations for my favorite character that time, but I happened to spend that same week sailing the sea on the galeas, so my duties on the ship left my time for art very limited to say the least. Somehow I still managed to draw something for each day using ink pens. Maybe I'll color some of these one day.
Fun fact: I ran out of ink at some point during the trip and had to run to buy more pens during our stop at a harbour.

But there is something very fitting about One Piece art being made on the sea while sailing in the crew of a traditional sailing ship. ^^
