Here is my newest piece of work, my entry for Ballistics "Exotique 6"-Artbook.Maybe I have good luck and they like it ^^
It shows Alellee, one of my own characters standing in the ballroom of her castle in the winterlands.
I've tried to capture the coldness of the country by using only very grey and blue tones.

Technical information:
Used my Wacom Tablet and Photoshop CS 2 for completing the painting.
As references I used some sketches I was inspired to when I was visiting the castle of the isle of Mainau (in Germany).
There's a very huge ballroom, called "WeiΓer Ballsaal" and some other very interesting buildings in the "Rosengarten" (The park around the castle).
For the character and the dress no references used!

I love the coldness of her looks. She seems to be almost a statue. And pigmentation is rather a new and original way to make the figure personal.
Some critisism, if you don't mind.)
The first thing that distracts my attention is the bright almost plastic highlights on her skin. On her face they look good, somehow defining the shape, while her chest looks a little weird. One more point is that her jewelry throws no shadows. It creates some ephemeral impression, but I personally want a little more "flesh".)

Yes, there's several things I'd like to change on it, since I drew it about one year ago, and could improve my style a lot meanwhile, guess I will be doing that after my exams ^^
