Managed to get to this wonderful house and awesome garden in Sintra. OH! just my type of garden with tunnels/maze like paths/fountains etc. More pics coming up. Quinta da Regaleira. This is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Built at the end of the 19thC in the spirit of romanticism and it's ideals. The owner was Antonio Augusto Carvallo Monteiro. Gardens and ideas by Luigi Manini.
I just happened to notice this greenhouse and was very inspired by the ammount of plants inside. This place is definitely worth a visit IF you get there before the bloody tour groups arrive. House and little Chapel are beautiful.

Oh Tea.............what a garden. Just my 'thing.' Luckily, as I said we were there before all the tour groups got there. As we were leaving there were hundreds of people lined up to go in. Such a shame for this place because it is meant to be enjoyed quietly.

Yes...................our little Hotel warned us to get up early to look. We did this and at about 11:00 all the Tour busses arrived. SO sad for such an artist of gardens to be so innundated in such a peaceful place. Shocked because this is an UNESCO World Heritage site.....what are they doing????????????
