So, this one was fun.
I started doing way too much detail, so I ended kind of having to stick by that for the whole thing. It took a decent amount of time, more than other paintings, but I really like the end resultPaper size: 18 X 24

Great detail, but the eye is a bit too big.

chaning watercolor painting is as simple as wetting the paper and lifting the color out. the shadows and highlights are great, although one or two more highlights on the face would be be perfect. even though that is your center of attention, the viewer's eyess still driff toward hte highlights scales. the dragon looks shinny, which is good because its a sea dragon which means its wet, which means it should be shinny. great pose and great colors, i really like it. without the detail, the picture wouldnt be as exciting or as fun to look at.
great job. also, look up water color techniques, there are a few that i think that you would enjoy.
