this is great and it's a shame you kind of played it down.
definatley not eminem ... try some of those great entertainers from the forties, this is the kind of machines they'd be workin' around you know?

I really like this photo. The B&W works brilliantly and somehow gives it an olden days feel. I think the perpendicularity of the stripes in the background and on the mic really make this shot, though I'm sure somebody else has already said this (no time to read through all the other comments!). Great capture.

yeah, i gues cause it is an old school mic, it needed to be b&w to match the theme.. i didnt notice the perpendicular lines!

Well, if I went by that sort of honesty, I'd never submit anything in conceptual because things are never conceptual at the time I take them. I'm usually just capturing something that looks pretty, and the meaning (if any) comes later. But maybe that's just me. It would be cool to be the sort of person who had concepts in mind while actually photographing

Now, to me, and it is only one Zarafa's opinion here, but that is a sweeeet shot. I LOVE it. I am just aching for a someone like Frank Sinatra (or in the modern day, Michael Buble) to come and sing. I love this one Jez

It's what the picture made me think - the old style mike, that's all - maybe Johnny O'Keefe. I sometimes put some lyrics with a pic, and I have one I am going to submit soon with some song words - so I am one of the pay out victims
