Hmm.... an advice huh?
Nobody asks that to me, but how about this?
If you want to be a great artist, practice, learn from mistakes, and keep going until you get it and never give up.
Giving up is something that will brings you to nothing.
Try something new or something that people never seen it before.
You should also try to experiment. You may discovered something that you haven't tried yet.
Hope that helps.
Anyway, I use Adobe Photoshop CS6 for drawings and Hypercam 3 and Windows Live Movie Maker for videos.
Oh and one more advice.
When choosing a paint program, try not to choose a program that you don't know how to use it. Try to choose some other paint programs where you know how to use it or a program that makes you feel comfortable to use.
For example:
I want to use Corel Paintshop Pro just like what JKSketchy use.
The problem is that I don't know how to use it.
So instead, I choose Adobe Photoshop since that is where I'm comfortable.
