Very nice. The background. was it made in 3DSMax or Photoshop.
Oh and how do you get your render over to Photoshop without the background. You save it as a TARGA or something right?

Id say one of my favorite wallpapers yet. This is truely amazing. There is so much 3D depth to it. The pieces breaking off, truely amazing. What program did you render the image in? I am loving it so much. Im guessing 3D Studio Max, but there is tons of 3D creation software so im really not sure.
The only thing i must say, is on the point kinda near the left side, as its coming closer to you and you see part of it jutting back out, you can see that there is a background shadow making it look more 2D because it looks kinda seperated. Really nothing to complain about though, still looks amazing!
Instant +Fav and set to my wallpaper. Great job man!

I've honestly got no idea what this thing is, but damn I like it. Love the texture especially and the little particles that are being blown away.

This is definitely one of the best pieces of seen on this site. The colors, render (and render quality as well), photoshop touchups... it all goes together perfectly. When I look at it, I think of a massive ship or weapon of some sort being "brought back to life," so to speak from not being used in so long, so the particles breaking off of it would be something like rust being forced off as the newborn ship/weapon emerges. Great job. +fav

*The second "of" in the first sentence should be "I've." Not exactly sure how I got "of" out of that. o.O

Thanks for making this. It is awsome. Just conveys a real sense of power. The twisted metal, the outer coating coming off in shards, looks like its being hit by the pressure wave from an atomic explosion after it got scorched. Makes you wonder what it was before it got hit. And the little hints of stuff in the background--just great!

I love the texture of the render! The colors and lighting are exellent also, may I add. Oh, if you could give me a tip on how to save .jpgs in 3DSMax I would be very greatful (a way besides the F9 button, because your render turned out much large than mine do).
