OKAY SOI'm gonna try to start posting more in the summer! I've noticed that the one thing that stops me from posting is that my standards for what's worthy of posting keeps getting higher. So now I'm gonna tell myself to just chill out and share my doodles of Victorian freaks FOR THE REST OF THE SUMMER
Just keep in mind it means less refined, more spontaneous work
The bird patterns are inspired by the works of Yoko Tanji: [link]
Also Jona bribed his friends to act as a boost for the higher areas of the artwork SEE HOW WELL I THOUGHT THIS THROUGH

The birds are quite familiar. I've seen them often in different artworks in the past. How did the kid even reach up so far up with only chalk and no support to get up there? D: This is blasphemy!
At any rate, I'm quite confused to the poster that part disappears... Is it on a wall or a post?

Yeah that wall comes forward a bit, I needed something to frame the drawing space that wasn't another pipe.

I didn't know Jona had such artistic skills! I bet that the grayness of the entire city would look like pretty lovely covered with all his drawings!

PS: Jona could easily get higher by climbing up the pipe without any help, so this was indeed well thought.

I adore the chalky edges and style, and the way the birds swarm and spiral upwards like a light beacon in a dark place. Again, beautiful!

(Yeah, I have the same problem with linear progression standards, but, I keep posting silly doodles anyway? I seem to just like the concentrate/relax style of drawing. Some more serious-minded artists are like, 'nah man, you have to maintain awesome at all times', like learning a sport or instrument, and I suppose there's an argument to be made there. But in the end it's art, and it needs to speak to you- as you are- in that moment- before anything else. [/imuho])

(Hah really? I didn't think you had the problem because of the occasional silly doodles you posted. I'm thinking maybe it's the school pressure for me? Sometimes I'm told the "Wow this is a lot better than your usual, now I expect nothing less of you" sort-of-thing, and although I get that I should be pushing myself with schoolwork, I think I can leave that kind of thinking out of my personal work. Like you said! yourself around ze art~)
