Opals are one of my favorite stones. And this one's colors are so vivid.

where did you get that? I love opal sooo much. Was it expensive? Do you keep it in water or oil or do you leave it in the air?

I got it at a wholesale only show in Minneapolis MN and yes it was expensive. Compared to today's prices it was cheap though

is the shift color on these as bright as you look straight on them or do you have to turn them a certain way to see the coloring?

This particular stone has no dead angle, the fire is just as intense at any angle. The green, teal, purple colors just seem to take turns showing off, this stone is extremely vain

All of those Lightning Ridge opals you put up are gorgeous. Wish I had some opals with fire like that, never seen any like them.
